Risk factors and blood flow in free TRAM flap for the measurements following reperfusion of zone IV revealed significant differences in 4 of the 5 hours measured (Figure 5.5). Patients with a combination of both smoking and a high flap weight did show significantly lower blood flow during this 5‐hour period compared with those patients without both risk factors (Figure 5.6).
