Chapter 13 Stefania Tuinder was born on December 24th 1975 in Luino, Italy. She graduated in 1994 from the “Liceo Scentifico Statale” in Luino. She continued her studies at the Medical Faculty of the Insubria University in Varese and she received her medical degree in 2000 (cum laude). In November 2005 she received her qualifying diploma in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Insubria University in Varese (cum laude). During her study she worked as resident in training in the Academic Hospital Maastricht and Viecuri Venlo, The Netherlands. Since October 2007 she has been working as a staff member at the Academic Hospital in Maastricht. 185
