As a cut‐off point, 4.2 L was used which was the mean volume of fluid therapy that was administered. The use of colloid fluid therapy did not affect the total volume of fluid therapy nor did it have any effect on the outcome. In addition, fluid therapy did not affect overall complications (Figure 2.3).
